The first time I ate here my sister brought back a regular slice for me. It wasn't very impressive and a bit expensive. It didn't taste like normal pizza and maybe because that was what I was expecting I was disappointed, since this place doesn't make regular pizza. I ordered delivery recently and got French fries, curly fries and chicken tenders. Contrary to what I experienced before this time I was impressed! The delivery time said 45-60 minutes but I got my order in 30. The delivery guy was really nice when I gave lots of coins ($2 worth) as tip which really made me happy because the last time I got delivery from Italian village down the block the delivery guy actually complained about the coins and how little my tip was. I told him I really didn't have cash on me and he gave me a look of disgust and I swear he spat at me. It was revolting and so amore pizza's delivery made me happy right from the start. They got the order perfect with my requests and it was packaged neatly. The curly fries, which I normally don't like, tasted pretty good and crispy. The regular fries tasted normal but ended a bit more salt. But it was really the chicken tenders that sealed the deal. They were perfectly golden- not too deep fried but not soggy, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside so that when I ripped it into pieces you could see the white meat and not just burnt skin or dark unidentifiable chunks. I was really satisfied but I haven't tried the pizza for a second time so maybe my opinion will change!

Will not be going back. Customer service is everything and this place is sorely lacking in that department. The guy behind the counter couldn't even hand me my change, just threw it down, and didn't have the decency to say your slice is ready.

I called and ordered take out from here tonight (and it was not the first time). I was told that our pizza and wings would be here in 40 minutes. After an hour my husband called to find out where our order was. He was told that someone else called and they thought it was a prank so the cancelled the whole order. They did not even offer to quickly deliver a replacement or give any reason as to why they did not call me back to confirm it was not a prank. We had to run out and get food for the kids. Will NEVER order from Amore again.

Average pizza, pretty greasy. Weird location. Didn't understand the lay out... Do they want you to sit and be served or order in line. Confusing.

Love the dinners and sandwiches. But I love the friendly staff even more.

This is my family's standby; we go once a week, most weeks. The pizza is the best we've tried, and we've tried a lot of places in lower Westchester. Always fast too and great people behind the counter.

This is my "go to" pizza joint. I have loved this place for over 10 years! I recommend the chicken parmigiana pizza and their delicious home made salad dressing.

I've given Amore 3 chances to impress me, thinking maybe i was there on an off night. Nope, bad all 3 times. I had to come to the conclusion that Amore is not very good. Everytime i'm there it looks like i am getting yesterdays left over slices. and i was there at all times of the day. You also kind of get kind of roped into waitress service, like this is a restaurant. It's not! It is very annoying. The taste of the pizza (left over and all) does not taste good either. There not very friendly. Overall bad experiences everytime. Life is to short to eat bad pizza!!! Avoid.

I'm gonna have to disagree with Rick W. - Amore Pizza sucks. The tomato sauce and cheese are just not that tasty once you've had good pizza. I have had a few slices with toppings that are pretty good (chicken parm slice is good), but the plain is a real downer. If you're in this area looking for pizza, I would recommend Italian Village in the Golden Horseshoe, which is just a minute or two away.

As being a Scaradale native, I can honestly say Amore has lost it's way in the past several years. After the major renovations, the taste of the pizza diminished day by day. I will have to side with Italian Village on this one; which is down the street. Try there salad slice with a side of dressing. Never disappoints !

The food from Amore is okay. There are better pizza options in the area where they definitely appear to use fresher ingredients, and where they do not charge for delivery.

What happened here?! Went back with the family for the first time in years as we prefer Italian Village down the block...OMG. Pizza was awful. Not even fresh. The place is run down (at one time this was THE pizza spot) and the men behind the counter...the smiles are gone. What a shame as clearly the owners HAD a passion for delivering a great food product. That passion is gone. Awful across the board. You get the sense the end is near for this establishment. In shock.

Nice environment and friendly service. Many different options on the menu but it isn't the best pizza in the area.

Tried this place for the first time last night because our kitchen is under construction.. Picked-up Chicago Italian Beef sandwich & some wings. I'll definitely be back! The young lady that took my phone order was efficient & professional. My food was hot & ready in the timeframe she shared. I didn't tour the place, but what I did see was clean and the guys looked like they knew what they were doing. The sandwich was delicious & huge. Big enough for two. The tastiest sandwich that I've had in recent memory. The wings were so-so. They needed to be cooked more, but a decent effort for a pizza place. I'm looking forward to trying their pie and I'll definitely order that sandwich again&again. I'll pass on their wings. Next time I crave wings, I'll go to a wing place...

We've gotten pizza here a few times. The first time my partner loved it, the second time he thought it was just ok. The crust is very dry and bland but the sauce and cheese is tasty. One time we got a pizza that had very little sauce. If we order again, I'll ask for extra sauce.

I love this place. Good pizza, lovely interior (which is rare for a pizza joint) and the Scarsdale Salad is one of the best things I've ever had. It's so delicious that there have been times I've ordered four to go, thrown them in a bowl at home, and served it at a party.

Penne rosa! Ahhhmazing! Also the pepperoni rolls are a little pricey but delicious. Salads are huge too!

In our house Amore Pizza is known as "Pizza and Puppies". The kids like to go for a meal and then visit the pet shop next store. The food is very solid. Yes the layout is a bit wierd, and the parking isn't great. But the service is fast and friendly, the pizza is solid and the rest of the menu is pretty good. Just make sure you do the pizza part before the puppies.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
